What is this sorcery!!??!?
I'm so happy. I think I'll do some sweet burnouts & then drink some beer to celebrate.

A story from earlier today on Oppo indicates to me that said phenomenon could cause the roads to become wet.

No, they/we (except me, of course) do not. No shit, I saw 3 different emergency vehicle scenes on the way home from work. Hadn't been raining for more than 2 hours. These people are morons.

I'm a new driver, (I got my license in august) but I know how to drive in the rain, as long as you give yourself slightly longer to accelerate, and brake, you'll be fine. This winter is going to be interesting becuase I will not have snow tires (2000 mercury mountianeer) but I'm hoping I'll be okay with Cooper all-seasons and 4WD (I know 4WD isn't as good as snow tires, but its better than nothing).

The weather will lead off the news, and then they will cut to an intersection with an accident. The streets will be completely flooded because California sewage systems will not tolerate having any water in them.
